Our established international chain of private schools and kindergartens is seeking a senior WordPress technical expert to enhance our digital presence and lead our website migration initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive site acceleration work including server-side optimizations, caching implementation, and code refactoring.
- Replace existing Typeform request forms with custom-built solutions integrated with AmoCRM for improved lead management.
- Create an intuitive event calendar system for school activities and important dates.
- Develop interactive contact pages with geolocation functionality and route-building capabilities using Yandex.Maps API.
- Implement school and kindergarten location finders with backend support.
- Configure dynamic phone number display in header based on page context and user location.
- Develop intelligent user region detection for personalized content delivery.
- Plan and execute the complete migration from WordPress to Bitrix, ensuring data integrity and functionality preservation.
- Implement technical SEO improvements including structured data, schema markup, and microdata implementation.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, and core modifications).
- Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x, JavaScript (including modern ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
- Experience with WordPress performance optimization techniques (caching, database optimization, asset minification).
- Demonstrated expertise in WordPress hooks, filters, and the REST API.
- Prior experience integrating third-party APIs (particularly mapping APIs like Yandex.Maps or Google Maps).
- Solid understanding of CRM integrations (specifically AmoCRM is a plus).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and structured data implementation.
- Experience with website migration projects (WordPress to other CMS).
- Familiarity with Git version control.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Bitrix24 CMS or similar enterprise content management systems.
- Experience developing websites for educational institutions.
- Knowledge of multilingual website implementation.
- Understanding of GDPR and international data privacy requirements.
- Experience with WordPress multisite configurations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for WordPress.
- Background in developing geolocation-based features.
- Experience with WordPress caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).
