Key Responsibilities
- Architect and execute comprehensive test scenarios for Smart TV applications utilizing TestRail to guarantee seamless functionality across diverse television platforms.
- Conduct exhaustive manual examinations of user interfaces, navigation pathways, and multimedia playback capabilities on Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS environments.
- Pinpoint, document, and monitor software anomalies with meticulous reproduction steps in the defect tracking system.
- Validate application behavior across varied TV models, firmware iterations, and network conditions—ensuring consistency in all scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to troubleshoot discrepancies and verify defect resolutions.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies to provide QA status updates and quality insights that drive development decisions.
- Craft detailed assessment reports highlighting test coverage, uncovered deficiencies, and quality metrics for stakeholder review.
- Perform thorough regression evaluations to safeguard existing functionality from being compromised by new code implementations.
- Verify application adherence to Smart TV platform certification requirements and industry standards.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of test documentation including strategic test plans, test cases, and procedural frameworks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in manual software testing, with concentrated focus on Smart TV application ecosystems.
- Hands-on proficiency with TestRail 7.x for test case management and execution tracking.
- Practical mastery of Samsung Tizen TV operating system (2018 models or newer) with Developer Mode configuration expertise.
- Demonstrated competence testing on LG WebOS TV platform (2019 models or newer).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript ES6+/TypeScript 4.x for comprehending code implementation and testing logic.
- Exceptional analytical acumen for diagnosing root causes of complex defects.
- Superior documentation capabilities for crafting lucid, concise test cases and defect reports.
- Proficient communication skills in English for seamless remote collaboration with international teams.
