A leading pharmaceutical enterprise is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to maintain and evolve a robust infrastructure built on Linux systems, containerized environments, and security-first architecture. This remote role offers the opportunity to work on a mission-critical platform within one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the region. You will lead Linux-based architecture development, oversee system security, manage complex container deployments, and support both development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities - Your core focus will be ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the company’s Linux infrastructure. - Architect, configure, and manage Linux environments across multiple distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS 7, Oracle Linux 9, Astra Linux, RHEL). - Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker (CLI, Compose, Portainer); assist with orchestration via Docker Swarm or Kubernetes. - Configure and administer core services: Apache, NGINX, HAproxy, DNS, DHCP, FTP/SFTP, NTP, Syslog. - Implement firewall and security rules using firewalld, iptables, and UFW. - Provide infrastructure consulting to developers and IT teams. - Design and enforce access control, security architecture, and rights management. - Manage virtual environments with VMware vSphere (provisioning, resource optimization). - Scripting and automation using Bash and Ansible. - Assist in deploying observability stacks like Prometheus + Grafana or Zabbix. Required Skills - 3+ years in Linux system administration in production environments. - Deep understanding of the Linux OS ecosystem and system internals. - Hands-on experience with container technologies, including Docker, Docker Compose, and Portainer. - Web server configuration and administration: Apache, NGINX, HAproxy. - Proficiency in core Linux services: DNS, DHCP, Syslog, NTP, FTP/SFTP. - Solid experience with firewall management and network security (firewalld, iptables, UFW). - Bash scripting for automation and task orchestration. - Familiarity with VMware vSphere for virtualization and resource management. - Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and standard network protocols. - Experience managing directory services and related protocols: AD, LDAP, DNS, MSCA, DFS, ADFS. Nice to Have - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, container orchestration. - Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems: Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, Zabbix. - Experience with Keycloak for identity management. - Deployment and administration of the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). - Knowledge of Ansible for provisioning and config management. - Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ message brokers. - Experience with Yandex Cloud services (Compute Cloud, Object Storage, Load Balancer). - Understanding of Postfix mail server operations. - Administration experience with bind DNS. - Basic database administration (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL). - Familiarity with GitLab, Harbor, Veeam Backup, cloud hosting infrastructure.
