Company that provides AI/ML solutions for the clients in the life sciences domain is in search of experienced ML Engineer, located in the Canada, USA or Mexico. Advanced technical knowledge in LLM techniques and deep learning model development is a must for the candidates.


About the Role:

We're seeking a passionate and experienced ML Engineer to join our team. You'll be working directly with clients, designing and deploying custom ML solutions using cutting-edge technologies. 


Responsibilities:

  • Understand client business needs and advise on AI/ML solutions
  • Architect end-to-end ML systems, including data acquisition, preprocessing, model selection, and deployment
  • Develop scalable and reliable ML systems handling large datasets and real-time processing
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts
  • Stay current with AI/ML advancements and identify innovative applications
  • Conduct research and experimentation on new ML algorithms and frameworks


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in ML Engineering or Data Science
  • Expert in Python programming and data science frameworks
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Keras) and libraries (NumPy, scikit-learn)
  • Experience with LLM agents, RAG solutions, and code interpreters
  • Experience with LLM fine tuning
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals
  • Experience with transformer-based language models
  • Hands-on experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases


  • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to mentor team members


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with complex multi-model and multi-modal ML applications
  • Solid foundation in data analytics systems development
  • Experience with AWS, Airflow, MLFlow, H2O, Jupyter Notebook, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark
  • Expertise in continuous training automation, computer vision, natural language processing
  • Experience with model tuning using CUDA/OpenCV, C++, Python
  • Publications in deep learning, distributed computing, or life sciences
  • Domain knowledge of biology and/or chemistry
