A Make Build Script developer is responsible for creating and maintaining software that automates the process of building executable programs from source code. This usually involves writing a script (or set of scripts) in a scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Ruby. The script(s) must be able to parse the source code files for the program being built and generate the necessary instructions for the compiler to produce an executable file. In addition, the build script must be able to handle dependencies between different source files, track changes to source files over time, and provide other features as needed by the software development team.
