Technical Director for IP Video Security Systems
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive research and development efforts for advanced IP surveillance technologies and video analytics.
- Formulate technical standards and protocols ensuring optimal performance across our security product ecosystem.
- Implement process improvements throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
- Provide expert on-site application guidance and technical consultation when required.
- Direct the integration of cutting-edge technologies including AI-enhanced video analytics and edge computing.
- Spearhead innovation in video compression algorithms and bandwidth optimization techniques.
- Oversee architecture decisions for cloud-based and on-premises video management systems (VMS).
- Evaluate and implement robust cybersecurity measures for networked surveillance infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and interoperability.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge repositories.
- Mentor engineering teams and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Design, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IP video security systems or related industries.
- Proven expertise with modern video management systems (VMS) and network video recorder (NVR) technologies.
- Thorough understanding of H.265/H.264 compression standards and video optimization methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with ONVIF compliance and interoperability protocols.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of guiding technical teams through complex projects.
- Proficiency in network security protocols specifically related to video data transmission.
- Experience with API integration and SDK development for security ecosystems.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence applications in video surveillance analytics.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a systematic analytical approach.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage remote technical teams.

- Experience with thermal imaging systems and low-light camera technologies.
- Knowledge of modern cloud-based surveillance architectures and implementations.
- Familiarity with facial recognition algorithms and relevant privacy regulations.
