We're seeking an experienced PHP Tech Lead to spearhead the development of our cutting-edge trading platform. As our Technical Lead, you'll guide a cross-functional team in building scalable, high-performance web applications using PHP, Symphony, and Drupal CMS while implementing modern development practices. Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic technical leadership for a diverse team of engineers, making critical architectural decisions that align with business objectives.

- Lead and mentor a team of web developers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on code quality and innovation.

- Architect and manage improvement projects for our PHP-based trading platform, ensuring scalability and performance optimization.

- Establish and maintain coding standards, ensuring the quality and stability of both front-end and back-end codebases.

- Implement and refine Git workflow processes, managing code reviews and deployment pipelines in GitLab.

- Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver exceptional solutions.

- Drive optimization initiatives for maximum website speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

- Lead the transition to modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly our planned migration to Nuxt.js and Vue.js.

- Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies, facilitating effective sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies, recommending adoption strategies when beneficial.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with PHP 8.x and MySQL/MariaDB in production environments.

- 3+ years of experience with Symphony 6.x or equivalent PHP frameworks.

- Proven experience leading development teams, with demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers.

- Strong foundation in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript.

- Practical knowledge implementing responsive design principles and modern web standards.

- Extensive experience with Git version control, GitFlow workflow, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies and team management.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Outstanding communication skills, comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high productivity.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Drupal 10 CMS development and module customization.

- Familiarity with Node.js development workflows including npm, Webpack, and Gulp.

- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js 3 and Nuxt.js 3.

- Background in financial services or trading platform development.

- Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.

- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Understanding of security best practices in financial web applications.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
