Senior DevOps Engineer | RabbitMQ Specialist | Remote Position

We're seeking an exceptional Senior DevOps Engineer to conduct comprehensive system audits and implement strategic improvements to our mission-critical infrastructure stack. Key Responsibilities - Perform thorough system audits to identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks. - Design and optimize RabbitMQ cluster configurations for maximum reliability and throughput. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with message queuing systems and event-driven architectures. - Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting for critical infrastructure components. - Collaborate with development teams to optimize Node.js application performance and scalability. - Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate deployment and configuration management. - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment workflows. - Develop detailed documentation for system architecture and operational procedures. - Implement security best practices across the infrastructure (DevSecOps principles). - Provide technical guidance to team members on infrastructure design and optimization strategies. Required Skills - 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar technical operations roles. - Strong hands-on experience configuring and managing RabbitMQ clusters in high-throughput production environments. - Demonstrated experience working with Node.js applications (v16+) and their deployment patterns. - Deep understanding of message queue architectures, communication patterns, and failure modes. - Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent). - Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or equivalent). - Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog). - Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems. - Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and performance optimization techniques. Nice to Have - Experience with other message brokers (Kafka, ActiveMQ, ZeroMQ). - Knowledge of Redis, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases for complementary data storage. - Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns and best practices. - Experience with log aggregation, analysis, and automated alerting systems. - Professional certification in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency systems at scale. - Background in financial, healthcare, or e-commerce systems. - Experience with GitOps workflows and methodologies. - Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul). - Contribution to open-source DevOps tools or infrastructure projects.
