Senior 3D Vegetation Artist | Remote SpeedTree Specialist
As our 3D Vegetation Artist, you'll transform photo references into stunning, optimized 3D vegetation models that enhance our virtual environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create photorealistic vegetation models using SpeedTree based on reference materials.
- Design and optimize low to medium polygon 3D assets for game environments.
- Develop efficient texture maps utilizing PBR (Physically Based Rendering) principles.
- Implement seasonal state variations for vegetation models.
- Configure realistic wind animation for environmental elements.
- Maintain proper naming conventions and organization for all created assets.
- Collaborate with environment artists and technical artists to implement assets.
- Optimize models for performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
- Document technical specifications for created assets.
- Iterate on designs based on art director and technical feedback.
Required Skills & Experience
- 0.5-1 year of professional experience with SpeedTree 8 or later.
- Demonstrable ability to create clean, low-resolution game topology.
- Proficiency in setting up seasonal states and natural wind animations.
- Strong understanding of PBR workflow and texture optimization.
- Portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D vegetation work.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to match reference materials.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
