SAP Testing Specialist | Japanese Fluency | Remote Position
A prestigious professional services group in Japan is currently expanding their technology division with a seasoned SAP Testing Specialist. Key Responsibilities
- Architect, plan, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for complex SAP implementations, including combined test/UAT initiatives.
- Spearhead test progress management utilizing SAP Solution Manager 7.2 and contemporary testing frameworks.
- Conduct thorough quality analysis assessments to ensure system reliability, performance, and adherence to specifications.
- Orchestrate integration testing between core SAP modules and peripheral systems.
- Develop and maintain meticulous test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and execution scripts.
- Implement and refine test automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage of SAP testing processes.
- Facilitate stakeholder UAT sessions, ensuring business requirements are thoroughly validated.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using enterprise-grade defect management tools.
- Deliver concise status reports and communicate testing progress to project stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members on SAP testing best practices and methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in SAP testing, quality assurance, or related technical roles.
- Native or business-level Japanese language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) – essential for stakeholder communication.
- Proven expertise with SAP S/4HANA 2021+ test methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager Test Suite, SAP CBTA, or equivalent testing tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proficiency with test management platforms such as HP ALM/Micro Focus, Jira, or equivalent solutions.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
- SAP certification in relevant modules highly valued.
- Experience with SAP Fiori testing and SAP Cloud/BTP implementations.

- Direct experience working with Japanese businesses and cultural understanding of Japanese corporate environments.
- ISTQB certification (Foundation level or above).
- Expertise with multiple SAP modules beyond core functionalities.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, or Worksoft Certify.
- Background in professional services, consulting, or similar client-facing environments.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations relevant to Japan and APAC region.
- Experience with SAP security testing methodologies.
