Are you a QA engineer with a passion for financial technologies and payment systems? 

We’re hiring a skilled QA specialist to join our remote team and help test and improve card payment infrastructure and terminal equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- As a QA Engineer in this fintech project, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our card processing systems and payment equipment meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and compliance.

- Design and execute manual test cases for payment systems and APIs.

- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, scenarios, and test data.

- Perform regression, integration, and system testing.

- Validate compliance with the ISO 8583 protocol and custom dialects.

- Identify, track, and document bugs in collaboration with developers.

- Review software requirements, technical specs, and design documents.

- Work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams in Agile environments.

- Ensure seamless communication between systems using RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.

- Participate in release planning and post-release validation activities.

- Provide testing coverage reports and assist in test automation efforts.


Required Skills and Qualifications

- We’re looking for a proactive QA professional with real-world experience in payment and financial platforms:

- 1.5+ years of QA experience in complex information system projects.

- Proven track record in test case design, defect reporting, and test planning.

- In-depth knowledge of ISO 8583 (any dialect); experience with FPS, EMV, or card payment systems.

- Familiarity with terminal payment protocols and transaction lifecycles.

- Hands-on experience with systems using C and Java.

- Proficiency in relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL.

- Knowledge of integration protocols: REST, JSON, XML.

- Ability to work independently in distributed teams and communicate effectively.


Nice to Have

- While not mandatory, the following skills will make you stand out:

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

- Exposure to automation frameworks (Selenium, RestAssured, Postman).

- Understanding of financial regulations and PCI-DSS compliance.

- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.

- Background in electronic funds transfer (EFT) systems.

- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
