A company developing and implementing processing systems for banks in search of a specialist for a position - PostgreSQL engineer.


Project: replacing the bank's existing processing with our PL/pgSQL solution. A prerequisite is compatibility with the interfaces and integrations of the old system to ensure a seamless transition for all connected internal and external services.


Improvements include: support for new data exchange formats, implementation of specific transaction processing rules, expansion of integration interfaces, and development of system functionality for local regulatory and business processes.


The architecture of the solution consists of a basic core and a customizable customization layer that expands the standard capabilities of the system to meet the needs of a specific client.


Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle (the tasks will be PL/pgSQL development, and Oracle is needed for mentoring)
  • Good English level (from B1 and above), working in an English-speaking team.
  •  Knowledge of the Russian language is mandatory.
  • Willingness to not only develop, but also mentor a team that currently owns only Oracle and is learning PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of processing is a plus.
