As our PHP Developer, you'll work within a dynamic, cross-functional team following Agile methodologies. You'll shape the technical direction of key system components while maintaining and enhancing our existing web applications. This position offers the perfect blend of technical leadership and hands-on development, allowing you to make a significant impact while continually advancing your skills in the latest PHP technologies.


Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical direction for specific system components, making crucial architectural decisions that align with business objectives.

- Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities using PHP 8.2+, Symfony 6.4/7.0, and related technologies.

- Maintain and optimize existing web applications to ensure performance, security, and scalability.

- Integrate and optimize diverse REST APIs to enhance platform functionality and user experience.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through innovative problem-solving approaches.

- Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code following industry best practices.

- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional Agile team using the Scrum framework.

- Share knowledge, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the team's collective expertise.

- Manage your workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet sprint goals and project deadlines.

- Propose and implement strategic improvements to keep our systems at the forefront of technology.


Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in professional web development.

- Expert-level knowledge of PHP (7.4+) and MySQL, with deep understanding of language features and ecosystem.

- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

- Extensive experience with Symfony framework (4.4+), including Symfony components and best practices.

- Demonstrated expertise in Git workflow and source code management.

- Proven ability to integrate and optimize various REST APIs within complex systems.

- Experience configuring and managing local, staging, and production environments.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

- Fluent in both English and Lithuanian (written and verbal).


Nice to Have

- Experience with PHPUnit and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.

- Proficiency in SQL optimization techniques and ORM frameworks (Doctrine).

- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies: Object-Oriented JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/SCSS).

- Experience with UI frameworks like Bootstrap and JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js 3.

- Familiarity with modern build tools including NPM, Webpack, and Vite.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.

- Knowledge of server technologies including Nginx, RabbitMQ, and Redis.

- Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Docker Compose.

- Background in microservices architecture and event-driven design.

- Passion for Agile principles with certified Scrum knowledge.
