Samson Sanusi
Specialization: Software Quality Assurance Engineer
— I’m someone who takes ownership of quality and likes to understand how things really work, not just whether they work.
— Over the past few years in fintech and banking environments, I’ve developed a strong sense of responsibility around reliability, especially when it comes to payment systems and user trust.
— I’m very detail-oriented, but also practical. If something fails, I don’t just report it — I try to understand the root cause and how it affects the overall user experience.
— I enjoy collaborating with developers and product teams because I see QA as a shared responsibility, not a separate function.
— From the way I approach my work, I’d say I’m disciplined, curious, and improvement-focused. I like structured testing, clear documentation, and continuous learning.
— I’m also motivated by growth — I’m always looking for ways to strengthen my skills and contribute more strategically to projects.
— Overall, I’d describe myself as dependable, analytical, and someone who genuinely cares about delivering stable, trustworthy products.
Skills:
— Manual API Testing (REST services & service-based integrations).
— Functional, Regression & Exploratory Testing.
— Backend Testing & Business Logic Validation.
— Test Design Techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, negative testing).
— Defect lifecycle management & Bug verification.
— Test Documentation (test cases, checklists, service descriptions).
— Requirement Analysis.
— Agile Collaboration (Dev, PM, DevOps).
— QA Process Improvement.

QA Engineer
since 05.2024 - Till the present day |Mintyn Online Bank
Testing, REST API
● At Mintyn, I work as a Quality Assurance Engineer supporting the mobile and web banking platforms. My role is to ensure that critical financial features — especially payment and transaction workflows — function reliably before they reach customers.
● I’m responsible for planning and executing structured testing across new features, updates, and fixes. This includes validating that transactions process correctly, error handling works as expected, and users have a smooth experience even in edge cases like network failures or retries.
● I collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, report and track defects, and ensure issues are resolved before release. Beyond just executing tests, I contribute to improving testing processes, strengthening documentation, and reducing production issues by identifying risks early.
● Overall, my role centers on safeguarding product quality, maintaining system stability, and ensuring trust in a regulated digital banking environment.
