Transas is a high-tech company provides electronical transport safety solutions for marine market. In 2015 there was more than 2000 employees in 25 offices around the world. Starting as a leading project manager in IT sphere, during first one and a half years I've been responsible for automation of logistics complex "North Gate" (Transas affiliated company). My duties included - choice of network and server equipment, coordination of contractors activities with the construction readiness. During the subsequent years I've been responsible for all IT-related tasks including complete reengineering of the IT function in Transas. IT services became provided on an ITSM based methodology, IT function has been centralized for all internal customers, introduced the practice of working with contractors (outsourcing, cloud). With the implementing of cloud computing were transfered more than 300 virtual machines without interruption of business processes. There are 1125 mailboxes were migrated to Microsoft Office365. Main responsibilities - Strategic planning and analysis of IT - Budgeting for IT department including capacity management - Negotiation with IT service suppliers (deal with cell provider MegaFon decreased expenses in twice) - Personnel motivation management (IT department consists of two sections, 25 people in total) - Ensuring business continuity - Improving the efficiency of information systems including ERP and IT infrastructure - Participation in IT audits (ISO 9001; 12207 conducted by Det Norske Veritas) - Software asset management During last years were implemented: - Process driven IT service based on ITIL practices - Software usage legalization including standardization, purchasing process and internal audits - Hundreds of physical servers were virtualized (VMware, MS Azure) - Implemented SAAS model of some IT services - Email system migrated to Office365 - MS Azure fully integrated to the IT infrastructure
