A Database Administration Developer designs, implements, maintains, and repairs an organization’s database. They are responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the database, ensuring that data is stored effectively and securely. They also make certain data is available to users when needed. They plan, develop, and troubleshoot databases, perform updates and modifications, manage backup and recovery processes, and implement security measures. They may also liaise with developers, provide technical support, and ensure database optimization. This role requires understanding of database languages, like SQL, and knowledge about principles of database design. They often work closely with IT project managers and database programmers.
